I'm quite enjoying my new favorite tv shows... "Once Upon A Time" & "Grimm"! Now that I have these shows in my life, the week goes by so slow! Fridays and Sundays just can't come soon enough! If you haven't had a taste of them yet... you should check them both out on Hulu.com!

The Ellen Show

Something not many people know is that when Jordan and I were dating, and at that time we were talking about becoming engaged. Jordan told me that he is so scared to talk to my dad but, I told him it's a requirement to marry me :).

A few days later I was watching my favorite show Ellen. Along the bottom of the screen during her show is info of stuff on their website. At one point the bar said " Have something that you need Ellen's help with? Tell us your story at the ellentv.com"... In my mind "DING DING DING DING DING!" So, when Jordan got off work we went online!

It basically said that Jordan wanted help in asking my dad if he could marry me. Along with your story you need to post a picture. We posted our saloon picture (below).

A few days later JORDAN RECEIVED A CALL! It was from Ellen's office! The lady said the picture is why she called! The lady told Jordan that the phone interview will take about 10 minutes... they spoke on the phone for over an hour! Jordan had her laughing and falling in love with him (he does that very well). At the end of the phone call she said that the next step is talking with the director, and that she would call him sometime that week. Then the next step would be the SHOW!

Jordan called me right away. I didn't believe him at all and was just laughing. Then he started telling me the conversation they had... in my mind I thought... he can't make this up! I was SO excited!! So that week we anxiously waited for the Director of the Ellen show to call.

Finally she called! Jordan and her talked for a while... answering a few of her questions. Then the question came up.. how old are you two? When he told her... she then said she had to call him back. ... well, she never did. LAME!

We didn't tell anyone about it because... we didn't want people to know that we were talking about getting engaged... honestly we forgot about it over time...

So, last week we remembered and told my parents... they laughed! But, seriously.. how cool would that have been?! BEST EVER! Those who do not know... my dad said NO to Jordan the first time he asked... So, we asked my dad how much more different the conversation would have gone if Ellen asked... he just replied... I could say no to Ellen.

Good thing my dad didn't say no to Jordan the second time :)

ANYWAYS Ellen I still love you but, your Director is lame... but, I will still watch your show.

I guess yesterday was a good day to finally become a Sinquefield. It was 11-1-11 after all.... Jordan and I also kissed at 1:11. So we kissed on 11-1-11 at 1:11. GOOD DAY!

Halloween Party 2011

It was our 5th annual Halloween Party! We actually didn't do it last year ( I can't remember why!). I love Halloween and this years party was WAAAAYYYY too much fun!! Jordan & I were Buzz & Jessie from "Toy Story 2 & 3" I know what your thinking... shouldn't Jordan be Woody...NO. Woody and Bo-peep are boyfriend and girlfriend. Jessie and Buzz are the HOT item! RAWR!

The party was SO much fun! So many people I hadn't seen in SO long came and partied all night! Even a ton of new faces! It's always a joy to be walking through your home (my parents home) and run into someone and you have no idea who they are and they have no idea that it is your home. AWESOME!

We played the name game! I pinned villain names on everyones back, they could only ask yes or no questions to figure out who they were. No...they were not all Disney. The hardest one I had, who actually was on every top 5 villains of all time on EVERY website was.....The SHARK from JAWS! Another was Biff Tannen from Back to the future, I think i'm the only person in the world who knows who he is when I hear that name. We also played murder in the dark and sardines! A big hit at the party was the wii game "Just Dance" there was no one moment where no one was playing! WAYYYY toooooo much fun! Thank you to Annie (The minion on the left... genius costumes though.. right!?) for helping with the party! Thank you to those who came and we missed all those who could not make it!

Sorry to those who arrived after the group picture! I wish we would have done it later! We will do that NEXT YEAR!!

1 year down.... eternity to go!

We have been married for one year and one day!! I have the best husband in the world who surprised me with a wonderful 1st year getaway (I'm sure to make up for our first night as well). We stayed at the Park City Hotel! Our room was absolutely amazing! We even had our own hot tub! Once we got to our room Jordan said we had to leave for an appointment! He had booked us an hour couples massage, which was DELIGHTFUL and much needed! We ended the wonderful day with a steak dinner at Ruth Chris! BEST. DINNER. EVER! We were going to eat our wedding cake but we were just too full! So the next day we had fun sleeping in and hanging out together! When we checked out we went and did the alpine slide and the coaster! We had done that the day after our wedding too! We figured it might be a fun tradition! Once we picked up Pocket and got home we finally had our cake.. After a year of being in the freezer it's still good!

On my way ...

It's been 9 days since I told you my story. Since then I have lost 5 pounds! That may not be a lot but, it's a lot to me :). What I have been doing everyday is the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. It's only 20 minutes a day! Of course i'm watching what I eat as well. I would reccommend this video to anyone trying to loose weight. You for sure need to stick to it and give it your all! Videos are hard because there is no one really pushing you... You could slack off if you want. BUT serioiusly listening to what she says during the work out makes you want to give it your all! You may laugh but.. when you need any type of motivation... this gal is awesome. Also.. I head the saying from my friend Anisa "Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels". That saying has been helping me lots too :)

I have also started to dance again, which makes me the happiest person around! I LOVE dancing! I may not be the best at it but I can never get enough of it! Now that i'm starting my new job, hopefully I will be able to dance more! Like... possibly do Synergy :) I know it's a ways away... but, during the Halloween season you can see me and my zombie friends performing every Friday at Wheeler Farm :)

Let's get serious...

All through High school until I was skinny. I have always been between a size 2-4. 120 pounds.

Long story short... I am now currently a size 12 and weigh over 160 pounds. That makes me sick to say and i'm embarrassed to say it. But, I feel like I need to say it. Now everyone knows. My secret is out (even though I am sure it's obvious to everyone)!Within 3 years I went from a size 4 to a size 12. I need to make this STOP!

I feel weight has never been a problem for me. But, It is now.

My life is spiraling downwards... I honestly do not fit into any of my clothes. I currently have a couple pairs of pants and shirts. I have also found myself in depression. I grew up with family members who have depression. I hate depression and tell myself everyday I don't have it. But, deep down I know I do. I try to hide it as well as I can... I have also found myself as a depressed eater (which does not help). I get depressed because I eat so much... so I eat. Don't worry... it doesn't make sense to me either. I also have been pulling myself away from my friends and family. I've missed important events in my their lives because I simply do not want to be seen. I miss everyone.

What is funny is in high school I was anorexic. I never ate. EVER. Just a little bit here and there...All within one week I had one of my good friends (who I don't even think knows this) tell me... "Denise, I can see your ribs. You are so freakin skinny!" That grossed me out a bit. I had seen women who were so skinny that they looked nasty. I thought to myself "do I look that skinny?" Two days later in school.... you know when the parents would come to your classes and there was a new topic every month like drinking... drugs.. well that day it happened to be on anorexia and bulimia. I found out that if you are a girl and stop eating, your period will stop and you will not be able to have kids.... For those who know me very well... I LOVE kids! Kids are my life! The one thing I look forward to in life is to have a child! That week I started eating and exercising... With help from my friend Sarah I was back on track...

So now i've been through it all ... i've been disgustingly skinny and now overweight. I want to be healthy and fit! Hopefully be able to fit back into all my old clothes! I've recently started tracking my food... The time I eat and how much. I want to focus on 3 healthy meals a day and less snacking! And of course drink lots and LOTS of water! I'm already on my 5th glass for the day and feeling great! I also have started new workouts that are kicking my butt! I can hardly lift my arms! But, things are looking up and I feel good!

Please know that I am so sorry if I have missed anything important in your life. I've been gone for a while but, I am coming back! I know it's a long process and I have to be patient. But, just know the old me is coming back!

When Jord and I had a first night.. it was a mess! Stuff happened that should not have! Long story short.. I ended up going right to sleep... on my side of the bed... when we finally found a bed to sleep in!

I was so excited to find this because... for our first night re-do for our 1 year we want to do something nice to make up for the real first night. Freaky Fridays

Almost time for Freaky Friday rehearsals to start up again! I'm so excited and can't wait. My two most favorite things in one! HALLOWEEN AND PERFORMING! I've been trying all I can to get Jordan to do it with me... He just keeps telling me "I'm thinking about it." We need more men in the group and I think he would be perfect! We'll see what happens though! If you know any guys who would be interested.. let me know! If you are ever interested in coming to a show.. It's every Friday evening in October at Wheeler Farm. It's a fantastic family show for a fantastic price1 I hope to see you all there!

WOAH. I take back my last post. Jordan is NOT boring!

A couple weeks ago Jordan applied to be in a Men's Warehouse Commercial. The company sent the announcement out to all the stores in the U.S. Anyone could apply. Jordan was so excited. He called me up to tell me all about it. He always goes off on stuff like that. Jordan is very Positive that he will win everything. He always thinks he is going to win the prize when we participate in any giveaway. Then he will go off for at least ten minutes on what he is going to do with his prize. Sometimes i'm included in the story :) SO when he told me he applied and what pictures he sent in I laughed and wished him luck.

It's been a month or so... He got an email at his work and it's titled Congratulations and Welcome to Hollywood! He opened it along with Rob... and together... THEY FOUND HIS NAME ON THE LIST! Jordan will be flying out July 25th to HOLLYWOOD! They will be covering all travel costs...For one. I don't think I'm invited but, I'm going to sneak into his suitcase somehow....

I'm so excited for you babe! I can't believe I have a famous husband! I knew there was a reason why I married you! ;)

We are quite boring.... I think.

I haven't posted for a while because we are not that exciting. BUT.. if you must know...

Jordan is a workaholic! He is ALWAYS working at The Mens Warehouse! This past weekend was delightful though! He had saturday off for one week and monday off for the next. So we were able to spend... Saturday (after he went golfing of course), Sunday, and Monday together! I really needed him this weekend because during the week... Pocket gave us a big scare. He was having a hard time breathing. He is doing much better now and we just love him so much! He has been in my life since I was in Elementary school and we aren't letting him off that easy :)

I have been keeping busy teaching swimming lessons. I put a post up on ksl classifieds and was shocked at how many calls I received! I am currently a proud swim teacher of 20 students. They are all SO fantastic! I also was able to help at Thanksgiving point's "Princess Festival" which was a BLAST! I have also been keeping busy with helping out with Cottonwood Heights Butlerville Days! Which is going to be SO FUN! I hope you all can make it! It will be July 25th near the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center! SOOO many fun things going on and it's FREE!

This weekend we are hoping to have a quick trip up to the cabin for the 4th of July! Pocket is DEATHLY afraid of fireworks! With his heart condition and the problems he has been having... we are going to take him as far away as we can! We will be missing the fireworks and family fun but, we will be enjoying our fun family cabin and roasting mallows as much as we can. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

This week... instead of studying for our finals... my best friend Sarah and I have been hanging out. It has been very delightful! She goes to school at Weber and in the summer time she goes to Moab to be a river guide. SO it leaves us a 1.5 week opening of party time. While we were partying we were reminded of how cool we used to be.. We watched our music videos! If you haven't yet seen them... I think you most definitely need to check it out!

Fantastic Florida

Yes.. Florida was beautiful! Aside from the seperation anxiety I had from Pocket... it was a fun vacation! We did so many fun things! Since the shuttle launch was canceled we had to think of many other fun things like..

-Go karting (Where I discovered my dad is a cheater.. or something like that)

-Movie: Arthur ( much better then the original.. probably because my bf is in it)

-Indoor Sky diving

-Wakeboard Park

-Wet n wild Water Park

-Visiting BROCK one of my best friends in FL!

- THE BEACH (making killer sand castles)

-Golfing ( Which included Jordan almost killing an old man.. details later)

-Gator locating around our place

-A killer tennis match between myself, Jordan, Tanner and my mom

- Of course many visits to Steak n shake!

It was a delightful vacation! I very much needed one at that! Now we are broke and won't be going on another one for quite sometime hahaha.

Our flight also got delayed 4 hours! We died! We were ready to go home. I was ready to see Pocket. At least we were stuck in the Atlanta, Georgia airport! So we decided to go to Chilies... Bad IDEA! our waitress was very rude gave a table of 6 their food before us and they sat 10 minutes after us, and i'm pretty sure every time she walked by our table she would glare at us and think "in your face you losers!".. Probably not. ANYWAYS - we left after the manager canceled our meal an hour after we had ordered and ben tired of waiting. So we were grumpy and hungry. But, we just kept telling ourselves to be grateful that we were stuck in the airport and not the plane! We were much happier after that... everyone else thought we were on drugs because we were way too happy. It was a fun first family trip as a married couple!

oh and about Jordan almost killing an old man golfing.. well. He hit his golf ball, the guy was in a spot he was not supposed to be got knocked out, started convulsing, going in out out of consciousness with a huge gash behind his ear, when life flight landed on the golf course... his friends and his wife did not go with the old man, instead they kept golfing.

FLORIDA!

Jordan surprised me with an early Birthday present! A trip to Florida in April! We will be there to see the last shuttle launch! I can hardly wait to play on the beach all day everyday and get my tan on! My mom told me the other day that she thought I had white nylons on, i didn't. Saying that to a girl who would tan once a week in high school... it was a bummer. So, i'm quite excited to play on the beach! We will be there with my parent & my little brother (who is not so little) Tanner.

To be honest there is a BIG part of me that doesn't want to go. I can't leave Pocket. For those of you who don't know much about Pocket.... He is 11 years old, i've had him since he was a baby. He is honestly my child. I know that sounds funny because lots of people who think a dog is just a dog. But, he truly is my baby. He is in congestive heart failure, along with heart murmur. He is staying alive by the 3 pills we give him every morning and every night. He is slowing down. I'm afraid to EVER leave him in case something were to happen while I was away. Luckily I have 2 jobs that I can take him with me everywhere. Except for on Tuesdays (which makes the day even longer). I have been talking with the vet about anyway I could take him to Florida with us. But, then I also have on my mind: if something were to happen on the plane... I know they won't land for Pocket, What if something happens while i'm gone?, What if something happens to him in Florida and there is not a vet hospital close by? So, if you or anyone you know would like to love and care for Pocket while i'm gone I would be so grateful. He needs someone with him 24 hours. It would just be for 2 days :) Thanks for reading this.. even though you probably stopped toward the top because you got bored.

2 one-way tickets to Neverland please!

Jordan and I were talking the other night about the days where we paid for nothing.. well, it seems like nothing compared to now. We miss those days. We would love to move to Neverland! Not MJ's Neverland Ranch (though, that may be almost as fun) The actual Neverland with Peter, the lost boys, Tinkerbell and her friends, AND Captain Hook and Mr. Smee of course! That's where we want to live! A place where we will never have to grow up. Don't worry... we will borrow some of Tink's pixie dust and come visit!

Jordan and I are both sick today. He is so awesome though... he went to work! So, if you see him and he looks like he is dying... just give him a pat on the back.. then it may be a good idea to sanitize your hands. We also have a ton of homework to do. I don't think we'll make it. Oh man. It's hard to read when you haven't had much sleep. I think i dozed off in the middle of writing this post. Make sure you take your vitamin C and stay healthy! The winter time is almost over! .... I hope!

Tangled

Currently I am in love with the Tangled soundtrack! It's a Disney movie so of course i'm going to LOVE it! I can't wait till Tangled comes out on DVD March 29th! Also, I can't wait to meet Rapunzel & Flynn!
